INGREDIENTS
At Arf'ul Good we use only fresh quality foods, foods that you can find at any grocers.
Here at Arf'ul Good we have chosen not to use garlic in any of our products. Since garlic comes from the onion family there is the controversy about its' possible toxicity to dogs.
One of the central ingredients in our Chicken Trix Stix is amaranth, which we use because of its high protein and iron content.
According to http://www.garudaint.com page on amaranth, ". . . it has been found that this fibrous grain contains three times more fiber than wheat and five times more iron . . ." The website goes on to state that amaranth has two times more calcium than milk. Also when combined with wheat or corn or brown rice it provides a serving of protein that is equivalent to fish, poultry or red meat.
Here is a table that can be found on the site that contains a comparison of amaranth to other grains.
